Job Purpose:
To provide Professional and ethical emergency and routine nursing care to patients at the Health Centre or its affiliates on rotational shift schedules over 24-hour coverage.
Qualifications and experience:
1. Must have a Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing from Uganda Christian University
2. Literacy in ICT and competency in MS Office and PowerPoint.
3. Excellent Customer service skills
4. Responsiveness and attention to detail.
5. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
6. a Committed and practicing Christian.
Key Duties and responsibilities:
1. Assessing and planning nursing care for in- patients.
2. Taking vital observations that is temperature, blood pressure, pulse, height, weight, BMI on daily basis.
3. Alerting the Doctors on any unique concerns or complaint regarding patients.
4. Perform nursing procedures for example; wound dressing, ear syringing, cannulation, bed making, damp dusting, sterilization, drug administration.
5. Emergency response together with ambulance driver.
6. Report writing and documentation.
7. Ensure safety and proper keeping of clinic equipment.
8. Participate in all health promotion activities & Continuous Medical Education.
9. Any other official duties as may be assigned by the Head Nurse or Director Medical Services.
