DESCRIPTION OF THE ORGANIZATION

The Sisters of Mercy of the Holy Cross-Uganda is a Catholic religious congregation of women in Uganda. They are part of a larger international congregation known as the Sisters of Mercy of the Holy Cross in Switzerland (Mother House). The Vicariate of the Sisters of Mercy of the Holy Cross (SCC) in Uganda was established in 1993 at Kibina Parish-Kampala Arch-Diocese. The Vicariate covers 8 communities: Kibina (Kampala Arch-Diocese), Busunju (Kirinda Mityana Diocese), Namugongo (Kampala Arch-Diocese), Kilirwa (Kasama Iwereo-Diocese), Oita (Tororo Arch-Diocese), Bulimbo-Kenya (Kakamega Diocese), Kempara (Mbara Arch-Diocese) and Kitikwa (Kampala Arch-Diocese). Each community contributes uniquely to the Vicariate’s mission through services in education, health, socio-pastoral work, formation and community development. The Vicariate manages a diverse portfolio of apostolates including Ten (10) schools across Uganda and Kenya, four (4) health centres and one (1) Vocational Training Centre. The Vicariate is committed to holistic spiritual and professional development and is supported by benefactors, partnerships with Church and civil institutions and internal leadership structures.

OBJECTIVE

The Sisters of Mercy of the Holy Cross – Vicariate Uganda (SCCS) invites sealed bids from eligible firms and individuals for the pre-qualification of Supplies, Services, and Works for its institutions (Schools, Health Centres and Communities/Convents) across Uganda and Kenya for a period of three (3) years.

1. CONDITIONS/REQUIREMENTS

Interested bidders must submit photocopies of the following:

• Certified Certificate of Incorporation/Registration.

• Valid Trading License & Original Income Tax Clearance.

• Certified Power of Attorney/Partnership Deed.

• Physical Business Address & Contact Details (Email/Phone).

• National ID copies of Directors.

2. BIDDING PROCESS

• Bidding Documents: Available for purchase at a non-refundable fee of UGX 100,000 (payable by cash to the Vicariate Treasurer or designated Accountants).

• Inspection: Documents can be inspected between 9:00 AM – 4:00 PM at the address listed below.

• Submission Deadline: 20th March 2026 at 12:00 PM. Late bids will be rejected.

• Bid Opening: 20th March 2026 at 02:00 PM in the SCCS Conference Room.

3. SUBMISSION ADDRESSES

Bids must be delivered to the Accountant/Bursar/Headteacher’s office at any of the following locations:

1. Namugongo (Head Quarter): Next to Materwood Hotel, PO Box 11893, Kampala.

2. Busunju: Holy Cross Sisters Convent (Behind Busunju Catholic Parish).

3. Kikwisa: Holy Cross S.S.-Kilirwa (Opposite St. Bruno Serunkuma Catholic Parish-Kilirwa).

4. Kibina: St. Ulrika Kibina Health Centre III (Opposite Kibina Catholic Parish).

5. Oita (Tororo): Holy Cross Junior School (Opposite St. Jude Ota Catholic Parish).
