Job Purpose

To accurately and efficiently pick and issue tiles and sanitary ware from the warehouse in accordance with approved requests and documentation while maintaining accurate stock records and minimizing product damage.

Key Responsibilities

Stock Issuing

  • Receive and verify approved stock requests, picking lists, delivery orders and other issuing documents.
  • Pick and issue the correct product codes, descriptions, quantities and specifications.
  • Ensure tiles and sanitary ware are checked before issuing.
  • Ensure all issued products are properly documented.

Product Handling

  • Handle tiles carefully to minimize breakage, chipping and damage.
  • Handle sanitary ware carefully to prevent cracks, breakages and other physical damage.
  • Ensure products are properly packed, secured and prepared for loading.
  • Report damaged or defective products before issuing.

Stock Accuracy

  • Record all issued stock accurately and promptly.
  • Verify that issued quantities correspond with approved documents.
  • Report stock shortages, discrepancies and incorrect requests.
  • Support stock counts and inventory reconciliation exercises.

Coordination

  • Coordinate with Warehouse Documentation, Receiving, Transport and relevant departments.
  • Ensure all required documents are completed before products leave the warehouse.
  • Support timely preparation of customer and internal orders.

Safety and Compliance

  • Follow warehouse safety procedures and product-handling guidelines.
  • Use appropriate PPE where required.
  • Maintain good housekeeping within the issuing area.
  • Report unsafe conditions, incidents and product damage.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Certificate or Diploma in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Warehouse Operations or a related field.
  • 1–3 years of experience in warehouse operations, stock issuing or inventory control.
  • Experience handling tiles, sanitary ware or building materials is an advantage.
  • Basic computer skills.
