Background

Sokoni Africa Limited is seeking a dedicated and experienced Japanese Restaurant Supervisor to lead our team at our exquisite Japanese dining establishment. As a Supervisor, you will play a crucial role in ensuring smooth daily operations, maintaining high customer satisfaction, and promoting an authentic Japanese culinary experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee all aspects of restaurant operations, including front-of-house and back-of-house activities
  • Ensure the highest standards of food quality, presentation, and service are met
  • Supervise, train, and develop restaurant staff to enhance their skills and performance
  • Build a rapport with guests and manage customer feedback effectively
  • Assist in creating and implementing menu changes and promotions
  • Monitor inventory and maintain appropriate stock levels to meet customer demand
  • Prepare reports on restaurant performance, guest satisfaction, and staff efficiency

Requirements

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in restaurant supervision, preferably in a Japanese cuisine environment
  • Degree in Hospitality Management or related field is an advantage
  • Proven leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a team
  • Exceptional customer service and communication skills
  • Familiarity with Japanese cuisine, dining customs, and culture
  • Ability to thrive in a busy environment and manage multiple tasks
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required
