Description

CHINT Uganda is hiring a Maintenance and Technical Support Technician responsible for installing, maintaining, repairing, and troubleshooting machinery and equipment in industrial, manufacturing, and technical environments. Perform preventive maintenance, operate tools to overhaul systems (e.g., pumps, conveyors, motors), and document maintenance activities to ensure optimal performance and safety compliance.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Install, repair, maintain machinery & mechanical equipment by completing preventive maintenance.
  • Locate sources of problems by observing mechanical devices in operation.
  • Dismantle, remove defective parts, and diagnose solutions.
  • Determine changes in requirements of parts and supplies by checking stock and placing orders.
  • Maintain inventories of equipment parts and supplies by checking stock and placing orders.
  • Train sales and other workers on routine preventive maintenance and product knowledge.
  • Provide mechanical maintenance information by answering questions and requests for customer base satisfaction.
  • Prepare maintenance reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends.
  • Maintain a clean and safe working environment by complying with safety procedures, precautions, and regulations.
  • Promote flexibility to sale and also perform after-sales services to customers.
  • Daily routine monitoring, updating, and fixing items on display.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

  • Degree in mechanical engineering or similar related certifications.
  • 3-year experience working in a similar environment.
  • In-depth knowledge of industrial and tools.
  • Ability to use diagnostic tools, repair, and assemble tools.
  • Ability to work and deliver on timeline provided or requested.
  • Attractive salary package.
