Background information about the job or company:

The Officer will be responsible for coordination of the development and operational implementation of the Office’s Strategic Plan.

Responsibilities or duties:

  • Coordinate the development and implementation of the Office’s Strategic plan and work plans
  • Monitor and evaluate programmatic and operational effectiveness
  • Prepare and present performance reports to the National Director and Board
  • Liaise with Government agencies to ensure alignment with national development goals
  • Administer and coordinate the activities of a range of specified operating and support programs, as appropriate to the objectives of the Office
  • Develop and manage annual capital and/or operating budgets; monitor, and coordinate Office budgets as appropriate
  • Develop funding proposals for the Office
  • Collect, analyse and compile data on performance of the Office as per its annual plans and targets
  • Represent the Office to Governmental agencies, funding agencies, national organizations, and/or the general public; as assigned
  • Lead Monitoring and Evaluation of the Office’s activities
  • Lead the annual review and target setting of performance indicators and methods to capture key activities

Qualifications or requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Development Studies, or Social Sciences, or Social Work and Social Administration, or Statistics, or Economics, or Development Planning, or related area
  • Master’s Degree in any of the above fields from a recognized University/Institution is an added advantage
  • Relevant professional certifications shall be an added advantage

Experience needed:

A minimum of five (05) working experience in a role related to policy, planning and evaluation in a busy organisation of which 2 years shall be at supervisory level

Any other provided details:

Will be responsible and supervise five staff
