JOB DETAILS:

An industrious Group of companies is seeking to recruit a Managing Director to manage and coordinate the Group activities, and also between the Board and management.
The Managing Director will work under the direction and guidance of the Board and reports to the Chairman of the Board. Under the guidance of the Board, the appointee is expected to provide the full range of administrative and operational functions in compliance with the Group's vision, mission and strategic plan to support the Group projects. This is a full-time position based in Busia, Uganda and interested applicants must be willing to relocate to Busia.

Qualifications
• Degree in a field relevant to Business Administration, Accounting, Economics. A Master's degree, or professional certifications in ACCA, CIPS and any other related qualifications is desirable.

Skills and experience
• Ability to understand and interpret financial reports;
• Ability to prepare management reports;
• Good negotiator, familiar with handling tax disputes, computations and analysis.
• Conversant with import and export business operations, customs clearance and shipping procedures.
• Demonstrable experience in negotiating term facilities with banks.
• A minimum of 5 years of management experience preferably with an Internal Container depot (ICD)/Logistics environment. Demonstrable experience working with Board members and Board dynamics.
• Familiarity with operations and regulations for Internal Container Depot (ICD);
• Demonstrable knowledge in preparing effective presentations and reports;
• Ability to manage multiple, time- sensitive tasks effectively and with high quality;
