Job Purpose

The Marketing Officer will be responsible for developing and implementing marketing strategies that promote the company’s products and services, enhance brand visibility, and drive customer engagement. The role requires creativity, analytical thinking, and strong communication skills to ensure the company’s marketing objectives are achieved effectively and efficiently.

Key Duties & Responsibilities

  • Conduct market research to identify target audiences, trends, and competitor activities.
  • Develop, implement, and oversee marketing strategies across both online and offline platforms.
  • Manage marketing campaigns from planning to execution and performance evaluation.
  • Strengthen brand awareness and ensure consistency in corporate messaging.
  • Create and manage engaging content for social media, websites, and other digital platforms.
  • Collaborate with internal departments to support business objectives through marketing initiatives.
  • Prepare regular reports and updates to senior management on the progress and effectiveness of marketing activities.
  • Identify opportunities for partnerships, sponsorships, and community engagement to boost brand positioning.
  • Support event planning, product launches, and customer engagement activities.
  • Ensure marketing budgets are managed efficiently and effectively.

Requirements

Education & Experience Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Commerce, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of proven experience in a similar marketing role.
  • Experience in agribusiness or FMCG marketing is an added advantage.

Skills & Competencies

  • Strong understanding of traditional and digital marketing channels.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to think creatively and innovatively.
  • Strong budget management and analytical skills.
  • Familiarity with the latest trends in graphic design, web design, and digital production.
  • Proficiency in Kiswahili (mandatory) and English.
  • Knowledge of social media tools and digital platforms for agribusiness management.
  • High level of professionalism, discretion, and good judgment.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.

Other Requirements

  • Must possess a valid driving permit.
  • Willingness to travel within the region for marketing and promotional activities.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain relationships.
