The Marketing Officer is responsible for developing and implementing marketing and communication strategies that promote the organization's programs, services, and brand. The role supports stakeholder engagement, content creation, digital marketing, public relations, and marketing campaigns to enhance the organization's visibility and impact.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement marketing and communication plans aligned with organizational objectives.
  • Create engaging content for social media, newsletters, websites, and other communication platforms.
  • Manage the organization's social media accounts and online presence.
  • Coordinate marketing campaigns, promotional activities, and public awareness initiatives.
  • Assist in organizing events, exhibitions, workshops, and community outreach activities.
  • Prepare marketing materials, including brochures, flyers, presentations, and press releases.
  • Conduct market research and monitor industry trends to inform marketing strategies.
  • Build and maintain relationships with media houses, partners, and other stakeholders.
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of marketing campaigns and prepare performance reports.
  • Ensure consistency of the organization's brand identity across all communication channels.
  • Support internal communication initiatives and other duties assigned by management.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, Business Administration, Journalism, or a related field.
  • Professional certification in Digital Marketing or Communications is an added advantage.

Experience

  • Relevant experience in marketing, communications, public relations, or a related role.
  • Experience managing social media platforms and digital marketing campaigns is an added advantage.
  • Experience with content creation and graphic design tools is desirable.

Knowledge and Skills

  • Strong understanding of marketing principles and communication strategies.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Familiarity with social media management tools and digital marketing platforms.
  • Basic knowledge of graphic design software (e.g., Canva or Adobe Creative Suite) is an advantage.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
  • Creative thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and stakeholder engagement skills.
