Description

Tenna & Pharma Laboratories is hiring competent, dedicated, and professional Medical Officer (2) to carryout the following key duties and responsibilities;

Reports to: Medical-In-Charge

Key Duties and Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and consultations.
  • Perform general medical examinations and systemic examinations in accordance with the facility’s standard operating procedures and the Gulf Health Council (GHC) regulations and guidelines.
  • Diagnose, manage, and provide appropriate treatment plans for patients.
  • Review and interpret laboratory and diagnostic findings.
  • Participate in medical fitness assessments and travel health evaluations.
  • Ensure proper documentation of patient records and medical reports.
  • Adhere to infection prevention, biosafety, and quality assurance standards.
  • Collaborate with laboratory personnel and other healthcare professionals to ensure quality patient care.
  • Participate in continuous medical education and professional development activities.
  • Maintain professionalism, confidentiality, and ethical medical practice at all times.
  • Counselling and offering psychological support to patients.
  • Perform any other duties as may be assigned from time to time by the Supervisor.

Qualifications and Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Medicine and Surgery (MBChB) from a recognized and reputable institution.
  • Must be registered with the relevant professional medical regulatory body.
  • Must possess a valid practicing license.
  • Training or experience in travel medicine, occupational health, or GHC medical guidelines is an added advantage.
  • At least 2–3 years of relevant clinical experience in GHC-accredited settings is preferred.

Required Competencies and Skills

  • Strong knowledge of general medicine and clinical practice.
  • Competence in conducting general and systemic medical examinations.
  • Excellent diagnostic and clinical decision-making skills.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and multidisciplinary environment.
  • Strong report writing and documentation skills.
  • High level of integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.
  • Computer literacy and familiarity with electronic medical records.
