National Content Methods & Reporting Officer
On behalf of our Client in the Extractives sector, we are looking for a competent National Content Methods & Reporting Officer to join our Team at our Clients office in Kampala in their National Content Department. The ideal candidate will be a hard-working professional able to undertake a variety of assigned tasks and work diligently under pressure.
Main Responsibilities
Reporting to the National Content & Capacity Building Head Engineer the job holder will be responsible for the following tasks;
• Support the development and roll out of national content monitoring and reporting frameworks, guidelines, plans or tools to guide quality national content monitoring and reporting
• Organise, update and assist in implementing procedures relating to national content activities
• Analyse the national content processes and procedures and identify improvement opportunities
• Organise and structure documentation and archiving for national content
• Prepare and update national content templates used for internal and external national content reporting as required
• Participate in the development, implementation and deployment of designated national content monitoring and reporting tools
• Project manage the calibration and implementation of designated national content monitoring and reporting tools
• Monitor and report the progress of work related to the tools
• Recommend, test and validate solutions or changes to the tools
• Support and train on the use of the tools to all relevant internal and external users
• Perform administrative and support roles on the tools such as setup and training of new users
• Ensure adaptation of national content monitoring and reporting tools to regulatory and internal needs
• Monitor and ensure achievement of internal and external (supply chain) national content targets and key performance indicators
• Communicate any deviations / performance risks that have been observed
• Provide feedback to relevant internal and external parties for improvements based on monitoring findings
• Build capacity of internal and external stakeholders for national content performance reporting by promoting and ensuring adherence to reporting requirements, timelines and use of appropriate tools
• Ensure that all national content performance is reported as per regulatory and internal requirements
• Review, analyse and validate internal and external (supply chain) national content performance reports
• Consolidate and implement national content performance reporting as per regulatory and internal requirements
• Liaise with, advise and provide support to internal & external stakeholders on national content monitoring and performance
• Prepare presentations and reports regarding national content performance and compliance for internal communication/reporting purposes and for external communication/reporting with e.g. Partners, Authorities, Contractors or other stakeholders
• Ensure comprehensive and accurate record keeping of all national content performance and compliance records, documentation and archives on the shared drive, designated tools or as may be advised
• Other tasks as may be assigned
Qualifications & Experience
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Statistics, Monitoring & Evaluation or equivalent
• Minimum 7 years of relevant professional experience
• Good knowledge & understanding of Uganda oil & gas activities and national content related laws, regulations and policies
• Good monitoring and evaluation skills
• Experience using monitoring, evaluation and reporting tools / databases
• Experience with data collection, management, analysis and validation
• Good report preparation and presentation creation skills
• Excellent interpersonal and written & oral communication skills
• Good administrative skills
• Good computer skills, including advanced proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, Access and Word">
