About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Female Nurse / Midwife to join our team at a busy clinic in Kyotera Town. The successful candidate will provide quality nursing and maternal healthcare services, support patient care, and contribute to the delivery of safe, professional, and patient-centered healthcare.

Key Responsibilities

Patient Care

  • Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients in accordance with professional standards.
  • Conduct patient assessments, monitor vital signs, and maintain accurate medical records.
  • Administer prescribed medications and treatments.
  • Educate patients and their families on disease prevention, treatment, and healthy living practices.

Maternal & Child Health

  • Provide antenatal, intrapartum, and postnatal care within the scope of practice.
  • Assist with normal deliveries and monitor the wellbeing of mothers and newborns.
  • Offer family planning counselling and reproductive health education.
  • Identify and refer high-risk pregnancies or medical emergencies appropriately.

Clinic Operations

  • Ensure proper infection prevention and control practices are maintained.
  • Prepare treatment rooms and medical equipment for patient care.
  • Maintain accurate patient documentation and confidentiality.
  • Support stock management of medical supplies and equipment.
  • Work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to deliver quality care.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Certificate or Diploma in Nursing and/or Midwifery from a recognized institution.
  • Valid registration and practising licence with the relevant professional regulatory body.
  • Previous experience in a clinic, health centre, or hospital is an added advantage.
  • Good clinical, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and within a multidisciplinary team.

  • Salary: UGX 250,000 per month
