JOB DETAILS:

The Painter applies protective coatings that prevent corrosion and give the product its final, finished appearance.

Key Responsibilities:

Surface Preparation: This is the most critical step. It involves cleaning, degreasing, and abrading the surface (e.g., sandblasting, power tool cleaning) to ensure coating adhesion.
Masking: Mask off areas that are not to be painted using tape and paper.
Mixing: Precisely mix paints, primers, and catalysts according to manufacturer specifications.
Applying Coating: Apply coatings using spray guns, brushes, or rollers to achieve a uniform thickness without runs, sags, or dry spots.
Environmental Control: Work in controlled environments (booths) with proper ventilation and follow safety protocols for handling hazardous materials.
Quality Control: Measure wet and dry film thickness to ensure coverage meets technical standards.
