Job Summary:
The Plumber will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing plumbing systems, including water supply lines, drainage systems, and solar water heating systems.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Install, repair, and maintain plumbing systems for residential, commercial, and industrial projects.
- Work on solar water heating systems, including collectors, pumps, and storage tanks.
- Assemble and install pipes, fittings, and fixtures for water, gas, and drainage systems.
- Diagnose plumbing issues and provide effective solutions.
- Inspect solar thermal systems to ensure proper functionality and efficiency.
- Test pipes for leaks using pressure gauges and other tools.
- Ensure all installations comply with local building codes and safety regulations.
- Follow best practices for water conservation and energy efficiency.
- Adhere to workplace safety protocols, including PPE usage.
- Communicate effectively with clients to explain plumbing and solar system operations.
- Provide recommendations for system upgrades or maintenance.
- Coordinate with electricians, solar technicians, and construction teams for integrated projects.
- Assist in training junior plumbers and apprentices
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- Diploma or Certificate in plumbing or related field.
- Experience: Minimum 2-3 years in plumbing, with exposure to solar water heating systems preferred.
- Proficient in pipefitting and system diagnostics.
- Knowledge of solar thermal systems (installation & maintenance).
- Ability to read blueprints and technical diagrams.
- Attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
- Physical stamina for lifting heavy equipment and working in confined spaces.
