Role Overview
As a Presenter, you will play a crucial role in delivering engaging content to our audience. This part-time position offers a hybrid work arrangement, allowing for flexibility while maintaining a dynamic work environment. You will work closely with the Head of Show Presenting and contribute to the lively atmosphere of our broadcasts.
Position Details
- Employment Type: Part-time
- Location: Kampala
- Reporting Structure: Reports to Head of Show Presenting
Key Responsibilities
- Record commercials for later broadcast.
- Study background information to prepare for programs or interviews.
- Identify stations and introduce or close shows, either ad-libbing or using memorized scripts.
- Select program content, working closely with producers and assistants based on audience tastes.
- Write and edit video and scripts for broadcasts.
- Develop storylines for broadcasts.
Requirements
Essential Qualifications
- Education: Post-secondary Diploma in Broadcasting, Communications, or other related fields
- Experience: 1-2 years in a similar role - Skills: Strong speaking abilities, reading comprehension, social perceptiveness, time management, and active learning
- Knowledge: Proficiency in communications and media, customer service, telecommunications, and sales and marketing
- Technical Knowledge: Familiarity with music or sound editing software (specifically Capcut), office suite software (MS Word), electronic mail software (Gmail), presentation software (MS PowerPoint), and internet browsing (social media)
- Language: Proficiency in English
Preferred Responsibilities:
- Operate control consoles.
- Prepare and deliver news, sports, or weather reports.
Desired Additional Skills:
- Monitoring and coordination skills.
- Geography
