Role Overview

As a Presenter, you will play a crucial role in delivering engaging content to our audience. This part-time position offers a hybrid work arrangement, allowing for flexibility while maintaining a dynamic work environment. You will work closely with the Head of Show Presenting and contribute to the lively atmosphere of our broadcasts.

Position Details

• Employment Type: Part-time 
• Location: Kampala 
• Reporting Structure: Reports to Head of Show Presenting

Key Responsibilities

1. Record commercials for later broadcast. 
2. Study background information to prepare for programs or interviews. 
3. Identify stations and introduce or close shows, either ad-libbing or using memorized scripts. 
4. Select program content, working closely with producers and assistants based on audience tastes. 
5. Write and edit video and scripts for broadcasts. 
6. Develop storylines for broadcasts.

Requirements

Essential Qualifications

• Education: Post-secondary Diploma in Broadcasting, Communications, or other related fields 
• Experience: 1-2 years in a similar role - Skills: Strong speaking abilities, reading comprehension, social perceptiveness, time management, and active learning 
• Knowledge: Proficiency in communications and media, customer service, telecommunications, and sales and marketing 
• Technical Knowledge: Familiarity with music or sound editing software (specifically Capcut), office suite software (MS Word), electronic mail software (Gmail), presentation software (MS PowerPoint), and internet browsing (social media) 
• Language: Proficiency in English

Preferred Responsibilities: 

• Operate control consoles. 
• Prepare and deliver news, sports, or weather reports.
