JOB DETAILS:
Ministry of Internal Affairs
Applications are invited from suitably qualified Ugandan citizens to join the Uganda Police Force.

Post: Probationer Police Constable (Driver)

Salary Scale: Ug Scale– U7

Key Outputs:
a) Vehicle maintenance
b) Safely transport personnel and supplies
c) Any other duties as assigned by the supervisor

Requirements:
1.Must be a Ugandan citizen with a valid National ID (NIN).
2. Must have no criminal record.
3.Must possess a UCE certificate or its equivalent.
4. Should be ready to undertake the requisite twelve (12) months Police basic Training.
5. Must be physically and medically fit.
6. Ready to work for long hours and at times under difficult conditions.
7. Should be ready to work in any part of the country.
8. Possess good communication skills.
9. Must not be a former or serving officer in any of the Forces.
10. Suitable candidates for the above position must possess a valid driving permit with at least 3 years
driving experience for that particular class.

Job application procedure
Hand written applications addressed to the IGP accompanied by certified copies of academic documents, photocopy of the National ID, ID of the previous schools attended, three (3) recent passport size photographs and recommendation letters from LCI, LCIII and RDC (from the respective districts of recruitment) in file folder which should be delivered to the Police District/ Divisional Headquarters not later than 18th June 2022.

Only shortlisted candidates shall be invited for interviews on dates to be communicated.

NOTE:
• Impersonation and presentation of any forged testimonials or any other forged documents shall lead to arrest and prosecution in courts of law.
• Appointment into the Uganda Police Force is after completion of the Police Initial Training.
