About the job

Our client is seeking experienced and well-connected Procurement Officers to manage supplier relationships and ensure consistent sourcing of high-quality coffee (and cocoa, where applicable). The Procurement Officers will work closely with farmers, cooperatives, traders, and internal teams to support reliable supply, quality compliance, and competitive pricing.

Responsibilities

• Identify, develop, and maintain strong relationships with coffee and cocoa suppliers, farmers, cooperatives, and traders
• Negotiate prices, volumes, and delivery terms in line with company procurement policies
• Coordinate daily purchasing activities in assigned regions
• Monitor market prices and supply trends to inform purchasing decisions
• Ensure procured coffee and cocoa meet company quality standards and export requirements
• Maintain accurate procurement records and supplier databases
• Conduct regular field visits to supplier locations and buying points

Requirements

• Strong network of coffee and cocoa suppliers in Bundibugyo and surrounding regions
• Proven experience working directly with farmers and aggregators
• Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Procurement, Supply Chain Management, Agriculture, Business Administration, or a related field
• Minimum 5 years’ relevant procurement experience
• Strong negotiation and supplier management skills
• Experience in agricultural commodities, preferably coffee (and cocoa where applicable)
