Position Purpose:
• To ensure product and process quality through testing, analysis, and compliance monitoring, fostering continuous improvement in adherence to standards.
Job Location: Abacus Parenteral Drugs Limited – Mukono
Job description
• Ensure compliance with current Good Laboratory Practices, regulatory required as laid down in the Quality Control procedures
• Ensuring that all work undertaken is compliant to all relevant internal standards, Quality Systems, Procedures, accreditations and methodologies, and in line with customer expectations.
• Organizing work plans and allocate work, thus ensure online analysis and complete documentation.
• Ensure availability of all necessary material needed for chemical testing including working standard and reference standard.
• Participate in validation and qualification of process taking leading role.
• Ensure that all progress reports including validation data, annual product trend data is compiled and reviewed on time.
• Compile and review data all stability data while ensuring timely analysis of stability sample and reporting any deviation, OOS, OOT with supporting investigation on time.
• Manage daily discard of samples and general tidiness of the laboratory areas, ensuring that the laboratory looks clean and tidy all the time.
• Support the ongoing development and training of junior members of staff.
• Ensure timely calibration for all QC equipment.
• Management of stability study programs like sample charging, sample withdraw plan, in use stability study, preparing product summary sheet, selection of stability batches.
• Lead by example and create an inclusive work culture.
• Manage appraisals and/or HR issues of your direct team, in line with company procedures and with support from management/HR where required.
• Participate in the quality management system including investigation.
Skills and requirements
• Bachelors in Chemistry, Biology, Biochemistry
• Knowledge of quality control principles and methodologies
• Familiarity with relevant laboratory equipment and analytical techniques
• Data analysis and interpretation skills
• Good understanding of relevant regulations and standards
• Good computer skills
