Job Summary:
The Hotel Receptionist is the first point of contact for guests. This role is responsible for providing a warm welcome, checking guests in and out, handling reservations, and offering assistance with inquiries to ensure a pleasant and smooth guest experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Greet guests warmly upon arrival and check them in using the hotel system.
- Manage room reservations via phone, email, or online booking platforms.
- Check guests out efficiently and process payments (cash, card, mobile).
- Provide information about hotel services, amenities, local attractions, and transportation.
- Answer and direct phone calls, emails, and walk-in inquiries.
- Handle guest complaints or requests promptly and professionally.
- Maintain accurate records of bookings, payments, and guest details.
- Coordinate with housekeeping and maintenance for timely room readiness.
- Monitor guest satisfaction and escalate issues when necessary.
- Keep the front desk area tidy and organized.
Requirements:
- Previous experience in a similar receptionist or front desk role is an advantage.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Professional appearance and friendly demeanor.
- Computer literacy and experience with hotel management software (e.g., OPERA, Cloud beds, etc.).
- Ability to multitask, prioritize, and remain calm under pressure.
- Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
- Willingness to work flexible shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
