Job Summary:

The Hotel Receptionist is the first point of contact for guests. This role is responsible for providing a warm welcome, checking guests in and out, handling reservations, and offering assistance with inquiries to ensure a pleasant and smooth guest experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Greet guests warmly upon arrival and check them in using the hotel system.
  • Manage room reservations via phone, email, or online booking platforms.
  • Check guests out efficiently and process payments (cash, card, mobile).
  • Provide information about hotel services, amenities, local attractions, and transportation.
  • Answer and direct phone calls, emails, and walk-in inquiries.
  • Handle guest complaints or requests promptly and professionally.
  • Maintain accurate records of bookings, payments, and guest details.
  • Coordinate with housekeeping and maintenance for timely room readiness.
  • Monitor guest satisfaction and escalate issues when necessary.
  • Keep the front desk area tidy and organized.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in a similar receptionist or front desk role is an advantage.
  • Strong communication and customer service skills.
  • Professional appearance and friendly demeanor.
  • Computer literacy and experience with hotel management software (e.g., OPERA, Cloud beds, etc.).
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize, and remain calm under pressure.
  • Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
  • Willingness to work flexible shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
