Position Description
Job Title: Retail Sales Manager
Reporting Line: Country Head of Sales
Duty Station: Agency Office – Kampala

Role Purpose
• To Manage the Agency Sales Channel for the Company with the responsibility for Recruiting, Managing, Training Agents and Achieving Sales Targets set for the organization.

Key Deliverables
1. Responsible for managing the sales team, developing a business plan covering recruitment, sales, revenue, and expense controls, meeting agreed targets.
2. Agree on monthly business targets/objective with each sales agent
3. Conduct and report monthly performance reviews on each member of sales force.
4. To grow individual and SMEs medical insurance sales.
5. Provide high standards of ongoing training for the sales team.
6. Oversee the recruitment, promotion and development of sales team members.
7. Assist sales personnel in establishing personal contact and rapport with top echelon decision-makers in organizations.
8. Any other duties in line with strategy that may be assigned to you by your supervisor from time to time.

Qualifications
1. Bachelor's Degree in a Business related course from a recognized university.
2. Must Hold a Certificate of Proficiency (COP).
3. Certificate in Insurance is an added advantage.
4. Demonstrated proficiency with the MS Office software (i.e., Word, Excel, PowerPoint) is required.

Relevant Experience
1. A minimum of Four (04) years' experience in business development and sales with a reputable Insurance company or in a related field.
