Background

Our client, a leading company in the lubricants market, is seeking a proactive and commercially driven Sales Manager to oversee sales operations in Uganda. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background, a deep understanding of the lubricants industry in Uganda, and a proven ability to drive sales growth through strategic customer engagement and market expansion.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute sales strategies to achieve revenue, volume, and profitability targets in the Ugandan market.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with distributors, dealers, and key customers across automotive, industrial, and commercial sectors.
  • Identify new business opportunities and potential partnerships to expand market presence.
  • Conduct market research and competitor analysis to guide pricing, promotions, and business development activities.
  • Provide technical support and product training to customers and channel partners.
  • Monitor sales performance and prepare regular sales reports and forecasts.
  • Collaborate with the marketing and technical teams to implement promotional campaigns and customer engagement initiatives.
  • Ensure adherence to company standards on safety, quality, and customer satisfaction.

Key Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, or a related Science/Technical field.
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in the lubricants industry, preferably in sales or business development roles.
  • Demonstrated success in meeting sales targets and managing customer relationships.
  • Strong understanding of lubricant products, applications, and customer needs.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Analytical thinker with strong problem-solving and planning abilities.
  • Proficiency in MS Office; CRM experience is an added advantage.
