JOB PURPOSE:

PARTICIPATE IN CRUDE OIL SHIPPING AND CARGO ACTIVITIES FOR UNOC, INCLUDING END-TO-END SUPPLY CHAIN LOGISTICS, VESSEL CHARTERING, OPERATIONS, CLAIMS HANDLING, WHILE ENSURING COMPLIANCE WITH INTERNATIONAL MARITIME REGULATIONS.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES

Under the supervision of the Manager Cargo and Scheduling, oversee the end-to-end physical movement of crude oil, including tanker scheduling, nominations, and lifting coordination to ensure timely and efficient deliveries.

Monitor inventory levels and transportation timelines to optimize throughput, avoid production deferrals where possible and meet market demand.

Receive and validate lifting requirements from the Marketing & Trading team, ensuring alignment with contractual entitlements and operational readiness.

Prepare and issue Vessel Enquiry Sheets (VES) to a vetted pool of shipbrokers, clearly outlining voyage parameters, cargo specifications, and laycan windows.

Manage any contractual obligations, operational or administrative aspects of any third-party marketing agreements.

Collaborate with internal teams (operations, finance, legal) and external stakeholders to ensure smooth transition from chartering to execution, including documentation, insurance, and risk mitigation and align logistics planning with commercial and operational priorities.

Plan and coordinate bunkering, appoint port agents, and arrange for disbursement account prefunding to support timely port calls.

Ensure vessels arrive on time and are fully prepared for loading and discharge operations at designated terminals.

Oversee the loading process to ensure cargo is stowed as agreed, with correct quantity and segregation, and that all documentation is accurate and complete.

Ensure all contractual obligations are clearly defined, enforceable, and aligned with company policies.

Collaborate with legal and commercial teams to address disputes and ensure timely resolution.

Foster excellent and effective working relationships with terminal offtake coordinator and JV partner liftings representatives for operations in accordance with the lifting agreement and terminal manual

Any other duties as may be assigned by line supervisors from time to time

Job Qualifications

Bachelor's degree (Hons) in Maritime Studies, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.

Knowledge and Experience

Must have at least four (4) years working experience in the oil and gas sector, with at least one (1) year in crude oil marketing and trading or oil lifting operations

Good working knowledge and experience of purchase contracts and lifting agreements is an added advantage

Demonstrable understanding of the E&P business lifecycle, especially in development and production phases is an added advantage

Experience in shipping and cargo operations, or crude oil products, or pipeline operations ,scheduling and accounting is an added advantage

Character & Competencies

High attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively.

Strong problem-solving abilities, with a proactive approach to addressing scheduling and logistics challenges.

High degree of numeracy, initiative and ability to work with limited supervision.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Should possess a record of impeccable integrity

Proficiency with MS Word, Excel and Powerpoint to effectively perform the role
