Our client is seeking an experienced Senior Accountant with a strong background in the coffee industry to manage financial reporting, accounting operations, and compliance. The Senior Accountant will play a key role in ensuring accurate financial records, supporting management decision-making, and maintaining compliance with statutory and industry requirements.
Responsibilities
Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
Ensure accurate recording of all financial transactions in accordance with accounting standards
Manage accounting for coffee procurement, inventory, warehousing, and export sales
Track costs related to buying, processing, logistics, and export operations
Ensure compliance with tax laws, statutory requirements, and company policies
Prepare and file tax returns, including VAT, withholding tax, and corporate tax
Strengthen and monitor internal financial controls
Ensure proper documentation and approval processes
Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy
Supervise and mentor junior accounting staff
Work closely with procurement, logistics, and operations teams
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
Minimum 5 years’ accounting experience, with direct experience in the coffee industry
Strong knowledge of inventory, export, and commodity accounting
