Responsibilities
- Perform advanced diagnostic testing and mechanical repairs on heavy-duty trucks, including engines, transmissions, braking systems, steering, and electrical systems.
- Overhaul and rebuild major components such as gearboxes, differentials, clutch assemblies, and hydraulic systems.
- Conduct preventive maintenance inspections and services according to manufacturer schedules and company policies.
- Interpret technical manuals, wiring diagrams, and diagnostic codes to troubleshoot and resolve complex faults efficiently.
- Lead and guide junior mechanics and apprentices, demonstrating proper repair techniques and safety practices.
- Test-drive vehicles to verify repair quality and roadworthiness after service.
- Maintain detailed work records, including parts used, labor hours, and job completion notes.
- Ensure all tools and workshop equipment are well-maintained and calibrated, reporting any defects or shortages.

- Proficiency in overhauling and rebuilding major components.
- Ability to interpret technical manuals, wiring diagrams, and diagnostic codes.
- Experience in leading and guiding junior mechanics and apprentices.
- Knowledge of manufacturer schedules and company policies for preventive maintenance.
