Background

The Uganda National Council for Science and Technology (UNCST) is a government agency established in 1990 by an Act of Parliament (Cap 211 as amended) with a mandate to develop and implement strategies for integration of Science and Technology into the national development process. UNCST is inviting applications from suitably qualified Ugandans to fill the positions below based at its Offices on Plot 6 Kimera Road, Ntinda, Kampala:

Responsibilities

  • Support development and delivery of UNCST communication and public engagement strategy.
  • Promote UNCST profile and image through innovative image and reputation building initiatives.
  • Engage with UNCST's external stakeholders to promote awareness on STI matters and support for implementation of institutional programmes.
  • Develop quality written and visual materials (publications, advertisements, videos, presentations, etc.) for digital and print media, to support UNCST communication.
  • Support UNCST events management including but not limited to: workshops, scientific conferences, exhibitions, webinars among others.
  • Support development and implementation of an appropriate system for recognition of Ugandans for excellence in Science, Technology and Innovation.
