As part of our growth strategy, we are expanding rapidly across Africa, and we are looking for skilled Solar Engineers to join our team in Kenya.
The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in designing, installing, and maintaining solar PV systems, and must be comfortable leading or supporting on-site installations.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and size solar PV and battery-storage systems
- Conduct site surveys, energy assessments, and system evaluations
- Install, test, and commission solar PV systems
- Troubleshoot system performance issues and perform maintenance
- Prepare technical reports, drawings, and installation documentation
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and electrical regulations
- Work closely with project managers and installation teams
Requirements
- Diploma/Degree in Electrical Engineering, Renewable Energy, or related field
- 2+ years hands-on experience with solar PV installations
- Strong understanding of inverters, charge controllers, and batteries
- Ability to read electrical diagrams and use design tools
- Excellent problem-solving and technical troubleshooting skills
- Willingness to travel to project sites when required
- Added advantage: EPRA certification or solar-specific training
