Sokoni Africa Limited is looking for a diligent and organized Stock Controller to join our team preferably with SUPERMARKET EXPERIENCE. As a Stock Controller, you will be responsible for managing inventory levels, overseeing stock movements, and ensuring optimal stock availability while minimizing excess inventory. Your role is crucial in maintaining accurate stock records and supporting the overall efficiency of our supply chain operations.
Responsibilities
- Monitor and manage inventory levels to ensure adequate stock availability
- Oversee stock movement, including receiving, storing, and issuing materials
- Conduct regular stock counts and reconcile discrepancies between physical and system records
- Implement and maintain stock control procedures to enhance accuracy and efficiency
- Collaborate with purchasing to ensure timely replenishment of stock
- Prepare and analyze inventory reports to identify trends and areas for improvement
- Assist in developing inventory management strategies that optimize costs
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations in stock handling and storage
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent; a Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field is a plus
- Proven experience as a Stock Controller or in a similar role
- Strong understanding of inventory management principles and practices
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Proficient in inventory management software and MS Office Suite
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data accurately
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team
