Description
Sokoni Africa Limited is hiring an experienced and detail-oriented Stock Controller preferably with supermarket experience to become a key part of our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing our inventory effectively, ensuring that stock levels are optimized to meet operational needs while minimizing excess and waste. This role is essential for maintaining the accuracy of our stock records and ensuring smooth logistics operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee inventory management processes to maintain optimal stock levels
- Conduct regular stock audits and reconcile any discrepancies
- Coordinate with suppliers and vendors for timely restocking of inventory
- Implement efficient stock control systems to enhance operational efficiency
- Prepare detailed inventory reports for management review
- Train and mentor staff on stock control procedures and best practices
- Collaborate with other departments to forecast inventory needs
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and internal policies
Requirements
- Minimum of a high school diploma; degree in logistics, supply chain management, or a related field is preferred
- Proven experience as a Stock Controller or similar role, preferably in a retail or supermarket environment
- Strong knowledge of inventory management software and Excel
- Excellent numerical and analytical skills
- Proficient in data analysis and reporting
- Attention to detail and strong organizational abilities
- Effective communication and teamwork skills
- A proactive approach to problem-solving and inventory challenges
