B JOB DESCRIPTION
B1 Overall purpose of the job.
To undertake and supervise all administrative work associated with the Agriculture manager’s office in the division office, like preparing routine recruitment reports, compiling camp statistics, maintaining proper records and coordinating the administration of all nucleus divisions in the department.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor and report to the Agriculture Manager independently on absenteeism among plantation workers.
- Monitor and report to the Agriculture Manager the state of events in the estate labour camps in order to ensure harmony among workers and compliance with company regulations
- Scrutinize overtime and incentive payments to plantation workers in all the three divisions of the estate.
- To assign specific maintenance tasks to subordinate staff, direct and monitor their performance and standards
- Participate in the screening of new recruits at the labour office of the company.
- Prepare and submit periodical reports about the activities in the labour recruitment office as well as other sections of the department to the Agriculture Manager.
- Adhere to and enforce company safety, health and environment regulations in place among subordinate employees in order to maintain a safe and accident free working environment
- Perform any other related duties as may be assigned by management from time to time.
C Knowledge, qualifications & Experience
C1.1 Education:
A good degree in social work and Social Administration, Human Resource Management, Development Studies, Management studies or any other related field
C1.2 Experience, Skills and Competences:
Five years working experience as a supervisor in a reputable company
