Job Summary:

The Team Leader – Plastic is responsible for supervising and coordinating the daily operations of the plastic production department to ensure efficient, safe, and high-quality manufacturing processes. The Team Leader serves as a key point of contact between floor staff and production management, ensuring clear communication, effective problem-solving, and optimal productivity.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

  • Supervising Husky production by ensuring safe operation of all plastic machines
  • Ensuring availability of raw materials and packing of materials.
  • Quality assessing production reports prepared by the inventory controller.
  • Ensuring proper usage of raw materials by tracking daily production verses material usage.
  • Carrying out preventive maintenance on machines
  • Carrying out routine inspection during shift operations.
  • Tracking and keeping all records for maintenance.
  • Ensuring daily maintenance of good housekeeping standards.
  • Handling proper distribution of man power.
  • Providing training to juniors in all areas to cope up with the company standards.
  • Performs any other task as per management request.

Qualifications, Experience, and Skills

  • A minimum of a Diploma in mechanical engineering or Electrical Engineering from a reputable university.
  • A minimum of 3 years’ experience in a similar role in a busy environment.
  • Husky Machine Experience is Mandatory.
  • At least 3 years hands-on in the Food Industry. Beverage manufacturing plant is a distinct advantage.
  • Familiar with Carbonated Soft Drinks and/or water treatment plant.
  • Must be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines, while maintaining a positive attitude and providing exemplary customer service
  • Ability to work independently and to carry out assignments to completion within parameters of instructions given, prescribed routines, and standard accepted practices
