Context & Environment
- Conduct market price surveys on items frequently sourced or those that are part of the Bills of Quantities (BOQs).
- Verify accuracy of contractor bills and/or invoices against actual work done quantities as stated in the Local Purchase Order (LPO)
- Participate in site visits with other stakeholders to assess progress on key projects.
- Negotiate with suppliers.
- Check and identify compliance with the technical requirements, project layouts, BOQs, cost estimates, etc by service providers.
- Coordinate the procurement of imports through the Group procurement hub and ensure the logistics are in place for smooth delivery
- Support user departments in procurement of goods and services
- Coordinate the tendering process where applicable
- Develop, evaluate and monitor key performance indicators for all suppliers
- Submit monthly/quarterly reports
Activities
- Assessing technical user needs for accuracy, correct specifications, etc
- Processing purchase requests in a timely manner
- Negotiating for competitive offers/rates with suppliers to achieve good savings on behalf of the company
- Supplier Relationship Management
Candidate Profile
- A Bachelor’s degree in Engineering/Architecture/Quantity Surveying or related field
- Should possess a minimum of at least 2 years work experience in project management, construction or infrastructure development or related industry
- Knowledge in procurement and supply chain management process will be an added advantage
- Should have good analytical, communication and report writing skills
- Should be a good planner, self driven and result oriented
- Should be able to communicate in some local languages
