Overall purpose of the job.

To install new instruments, calibrate field instruments, electronics equipment and laying cables and carry out maintenance of instrumentation systems.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Install new field instruments and cables.
  2. Maintain field transmitters and instruments like control valves, regulators, pressure gauges and temperature gauges.
  3. Assist the Instrument Supervisor in erection and commissioning of field instruments.
  4. Handle of shift operations of Instrumentation and control.
  5. Carry out training of subordinates.
  6. Clean the working environment.
  7. Adhere to the safety, health and environment policy of the company.
  8. Perform any other related duties as maybe assigned by the Supervisor – Instrumentation/Management from time to time.

Education:

A minimum of a Diploma in Electronics and Instrumentation or Electrical and Electronics or Electronics and tele-communication.

Experience, Skills and Competences:

A minimum of at least two (2) years working experience as a fitter in a busy organization. Knowledge in maintenance, repair and adjusting of installations, fault findings and trouble shooting skills, servicing adjusting of control system and instruments, knowledgeable in electrical power and safety regulations and good communication skills..
