The Consultancy Services for Supervision of Construction and Upgrade of Selected Roads involves overseeing the planning, design, and execution of road construction and upgrading projects across Kira Municipal Council and Mukono District Local Government. The consultant will be responsible for ensuring compliance with technical specifications, quality standards, and environmental regulations. Key tasks include:
Conducting site inspections and monitoring construction progress.
Reviewing design documents and providing technical recommendations.
Ensuring adherence to safety protocols and environmental safeguards.
Coordinating with contractors, local authorities, and stakeholders to resolve issues.
Preparing regular progress reports and documentation for the World Bank and French Development Agency.
The successful consultant must demonstrate experience in large-scale infrastructure projects, particularly in urban road development, and possess relevant certifications. This role is critical to the successful implementation of the Greater Kampala Metropolitan Area – Urban Development Program (GKMA-UDP), aimed at improving transportation infrastructure and fostering economic growth in the region.
