Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and disciplined Trainer with a strong background in security operations and structured drills. The ideal candidate will have proven experience conducting physical and procedural training, preferably within a security training environment. The successful applicant will be based in Uganda and will report directly to our headquarters in Nairobi, Kenya.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, design, and conduct security drills and training programs
- Train personnel on safety protocols, emergency response, surveillance, and access control
- Conduct routine mock drills (fire, evacuation, lockdown, intruder response, etc.)
- Evaluate trainee performance and provide structured feedback
- Develop training manuals, guides, and standard operating procedures (SOPs)
- Maintain accurate training records and reports for headquarters
- Identify training gaps and recommend improvements
- Enforce discipline, professionalism, and safety standards during training sessions
- Work closely with management in Nairobi to align training plans and expectations
Minimum Requirements
- Diploma or Certificate in Security Studies, Criminology, Training, or a related field
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience conducting drills and structured training
- Experience working in a security training environment (highly preferred)
- Strong leadership, communication, and instructional skills
- Physically fit and able to conduct demanding drills
- Good knowledge of risk management, emergency response, and basic first aid
- Able to work independently and report to regional leadership
Preferred Qualifications
- Background in the military, police, or private security services
- Certified trainer/instructor credentials
- First Aid / CPR certification
- Experience training large groups and teams
