JOB DESCRIPTION: USP Intern - Internship Paid MAIN CAMPUS • Uganda Studies Program Qualifications and experience:
Must have a Bachelor’s degree, at least 2:1 (first class & Second class upper) attained from Uganda Christian University.
Must have knowledge of working in a computerized environment i.e., use of MS excel, MS Word, Power Point and internet
Must have good interpersonal skills especially when dealing with students, staff and visitors
Must be a person of high integrity with excellent working ethic.
Must be a committed and practicing Christian.
Preferred Hounours College Scholar.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Must serve as a cultural and practical guide to USP students, helping to familiarize them with life in Uganda as well as UCU, Mukono, Kampala and Uganda in general.
Must be able to engage in formal and informal discussions with students regarding the issues they face in their studies and experiences in Uganda.
Must assist in travel preparation, travel with student, assist in travel needs, and in following up with the students at USP.
Must be able to complete administrative tasks such as preparing and processing paperwork and computer related tasks.
Assist Honors College office activities, one (1) day a week to coordinate academic in-service activities such as leadership meetings, practicum sites, academic mentoring, etc.
Must be able to liaise between USP and Honours College departments particularly in the coordination and facilitation of USP/Honours College events.
Should be able to attend errands on campus, in Mukono, and in Kampala.
Perform any other official duties as may be assigned by the Supervisor.
