JOB DESCRIPTION: USP Intern - Internship Paid MAIN CAMPUS • Uganda Studies Program Qualifications and experience:

  • Must have a Bachelor’s degree, at least 2:1 (first class & Second class upper) attained from Uganda Christian University.
  • Must have knowledge of working in a computerized environment i.e., use of MS excel, MS Word, Power Point and internet
  • Must have good interpersonal skills especially when dealing with students, staff and visitors
  • Must be a person of high integrity with excellent working ethic.
  • Must be a committed and practicing Christian.
  • Preferred Hounours College Scholar.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Must serve as a cultural and practical guide to USP students, helping to familiarize them with life in Uganda as well as UCU, Mukono, Kampala and Uganda in general.
  • Must be able to engage in formal and informal discussions with students regarding the issues they face in their studies and experiences in Uganda.
  • Must assist in travel preparation, travel with student, assist in travel needs, and in following up with the students at USP.
  • Must be able to complete administrative tasks such as preparing and processing paperwork and computer related tasks.
  • Assist Honors College office activities, one (1) day a week to coordinate academic in-service activities such as leadership meetings, practicum sites, academic mentoring, etc.
  • Must be able to liaise between USP and Honours College departments particularly in the coordination and facilitation of USP/Honours College events.
  • Should be able to attend errands on campus, in Mukono, and in Kampala.
  • Perform any other official duties as may be assigned by the Supervisor.
