Job Description
Place of work: Assigned site/ Hospital Kitchen
Reports to: Mess Hall Supervisor
Scope and general purpose: Assure food service is done on time as per food hygiene standards.

Competency matrix:
• A minimum of one-year experience in Healthcare Facility is preferred.
• Presentable & soft spoken.
• Must have good English communication skills.

Liaises with:
• Chef/Cooks
• Stores
• Mess hall Supervisor

Main Duties
• Serve meals in portions using agreed HMC specifications.
• Use food service trolleys to boost or maintain the food.
• Take orders from the wards using the provided IT systems, produce meals slips with the required information for each patient.
• Order taking and services to VIP rooms, Private Rooms and other areas require
• special attention must be performed to comply with the agreed HMC standards.
• Responsible for filling of ward pantries supplies such maintaining highest
• standards of service to client.
• Fully assist in food service, clearance, and store cleanliness.
• Self-development in service systems and methods used.
• Have full menu knowledge of food being served at site.
• Buffet set up and food pickup (A la'carte and Table d hote')
• Buffet table frilling.
• Theme set up
• Daily store requisition and pickup for the department.
• Cleaning and hygiene of the dining and related work area.
• To report and where possible take action in relation to any incident, fire accident, loss or damage.
• To ensure all HSE rules & procedures are followed and hazards/near miss and accidents are reported. To raise HSE/Hazard awareness by actively participating in all HSE meetings.
• To follow Newrest GULF HSE plan.
• To ensure proper grooming and hygiene. Respect and follow up QHSE policies & must rules.
• Report any incident, accident & unsafe act to the management.
