JOB DETAILS:
The warehouse officer is responsible for the supervision, documentation, reporting of commodity movements and updating the warehouse goods management system.
Must ensure all coffee activities are conducted according to the standard operating procedures.
Key responsibilities
Supervise day to day activities at designated warehouse.
Tally and record loading and offloading of commodities according to the warehouse SOP.
Update XBS for every stock movement.
Share daily stock reports.
Comply and implement safety standards in all warehouse operations.
Ensure that produce stacks are neat, stable and have updated stock cards.
Maintain a housekeeping schedule in the warehouse including routine cleaning, cobwebbing and rodent control.
Monitor levels of non-coffee items with updated stock cards and tracker. Place orders for packaging suppliers(i.e. ink, needles, jute bags, seals, stencils).
Ensure that stocks are organized for routine end of month stock check exercise.
Liaise with Logistics Department daily for coffee trucking and loading orders.
Plan and confirm receiving coffee from the factory for storage or stacking per processing batch where relevant.
Supervise bagging of coffee and ensure that each bag is of the required weight.
Ensure weighing scales are calibrated before use.
Collaborate with quality and ensure presence for all loading , offloading and processing.
Coordinate with host service providers for smooth operations at station of deployment.
Any other official duties as assigned by immediate Supervisor.
Competencies
Language Skills
Proficient in English and any other local languages.
Professional expertise
Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
Minimum of 2 years’ experience in Inventory Management.
Proficiency in warehouse management systems.
Knowledge of coffee and/or cocoa is an added advantage.
Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
