Reporting To Extension Service Manager, The Successful Candidate Will;

Key Result Areas:

1. Help producers/ farmers to use their land more effectively and suggest methods to increase yield.
2. Create strategies in strengthening crop production and crop management
3. Study, assess and evaluate soil chemistry by testing soil of various fields
4. Initiate latest techniques of soil management processes
5. Counsel and educate producer department staff and site coordinators on latest farming techniques
6. Train, develop and motivate agricultural staff both in producer department and commercial farm
7. Organize own work plan to spend time effectively and efficiently to meet the company’s business objective
8. Assist the extension service manager to prepare and implement annual budget for the agricultural programme
9. Monitor the performance of works in the collection, transport to storage and storage of the harvested crop.
10. Develop and implement technology to combat pests, plant diseases and weeds.
11. Appraise the performance of extension coordinators
12. Perform any other duties assigned Extension service manager.

EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

Bachelor’s Degree in Agriculture or a related discipline
3 years’ experience in related field
