Friday for Future Uganda is a youth-led movement advocating for climate justice and environmental protection. We are committed to raising awareness, mobilizing communities, and pushing for policy changes to address the climate crisis.

Role Context

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Volunteer Research and Project Assistant to support our ongoing projects and research initiatives. This role offers a valuable opportunity to gain practical experience in environmental advocacy, project management, and research within a dynamic and impactful organization.

Responsibilities

The Volunteer Research and Project Assistant will be responsible for:

  • Assisting in conducting research on various environmental and climate-related issues in Uganda.
  • Collecting, organizing, and analyzing data for research projects.
  • Supporting the planning and implementation of project activities.
  • Drafting reports, presentations, and other project-related documents.
  • Assisting with communication and outreach efforts.
  • Providing general administrative support to the project team.

Qualifications and Requirements

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • A strong interest in environmental issues, climate change, and social justice.
  • Good research and analytical skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Enthusiasm and a proactive attitude.

Experience

Previous experience in research, project assistance, or volunteer work is an advantage but not strictly required.
