Job Responsibilities:

1. Carry out routine maintenance on rotating equipment, (Pumps, Gear Boxes, Compressors, Steam Turbines) carries out visual checks of seals for leaks, disassembles equipment, cleans equipment, repairs as appropriate, replaces parts as directed, replaces impellers, diffusers, packing and gaskets, checks bearings- and reassembles.
2. Ensures correct alignment and tolerances, using precision measurement instruments, such as laser alignment equipment, DTI clock gauges, micrometers, gauges, dial indicators and verniers
3. Carries out routine preventive maintenance of machinery according to schedules, checklists and specific equipment requirements. This includes changing oils, greasing, cleaning strainers and filters and general overhaul of equipment, repairs and replaces defective parts, repair of mechanical seals. Reassembles overhauled equipment and carries out necessary tests and performance monitoring upon start-up
4. Reassembles and tests equipment in accordance with requirements or tests schedules. Expertise in using tools such as hydraulic press, pullers, electric drills, grinders, heating torch as well as precision tools such as micrometer, caliper gauges & dial gauges for test-checking or repair work.
5. Perform Continuous Improvement: Improve Reliability of Equipment/Process, Improve Safety, Improve Maintainability, Reduce Cost,
6. Maintain / Update the job completion records
7. Perform Technical investigation & Root Cause Analysis
8. Interact closely with the Planning Team and ensure smooth operation
9. Request for external material and services if needed
10. Ensure the KPI of the Maintenance Team is achieved
11. Adhere to the Work management Process, Strict Adherence to Plant Safety Protocols & Good housekeeping

Qualification, Requirements and Skills :

Qualification : Diploma in Mechanical

1. 3 years of hands on experience in oil & gas, petrochemical, fertilizer industries on rotating equipment overhauling
2. Experience in Mechanical Maintenance of Rotary equipments - Preventive, Corrective & Shutdown Maintenance of : Centrifugal Pump (Back pullout/Vertically split, End supported/Horizontally split, Multistage, Vertical, Submersible), HP Centrifugal Compressor (Multistage, Horizontally split/Barrel Type, Integrally geared), Centrifugal Blowers / Fans, Steam Turbines (Single / Multistage, Condensing / Back Pressure), Gear pumps, Metering pumps, Reciprocating Compressors, Axial and Radial Air Compressors, Cooling Tower Fans and GearBoxes, Shaft Alignment, Mechanical / Gas seal assembly, Associated ancillary equipment like Lube oil skids, Hydraulic skids, Speed Changing Gear Units Experience with the interpretation of technical operating manuals, drawings, catalogs and reports.
