Shamim Malende and her ex-husband, Andrew Ssebunya, are no longer on good terms.

Malende publicly announced that she is no longer in a relationship with him and that the two are no longer in agreement. She claimed Ssebunya also confiscated some of her properties, including vehicles.

Malende moved out of their house in Kawempe, Kampala, and is living separately in Wakiso.

Her ex-husband, Andrew Ssebunya, has pledged to continue supporting Shamim Malende politically despite the breakup.

He explained that they have built a strong legacy together in Kampala district and will continue working for the good of Malende's political career.

"I am living alone here because she already moved away and is currently living in Wakiso. I will continue supporting her politically, and I believe she deserves the NUP party flag again to represent the people of Kampala again in parliament," he explained in an interview with a local YouTuber.

Andrew Ssebunya pledged to work for the good of Malende's public image and says he has no ill feelings toward her despite the breakup.

Malende is currently battling for the National Unity Platform ticket. She is vying against Zahara Luyirika, the current Speaker of KCCA.
