He says Ssebagala, just like his brothers, should focus on personal businesses and leave politics to other people who haven't been in service before.

Latif Ssebagala was on Monday morning nominated to contest for the Mayorship of Kawempe division as an independent, after missing out on the National Unity Platform ticket.

His decision to contest for the position didn't sit well with a section of people, including media critic Frank Gashumba, who advised him to quit politics and focus on business.

Gashumba explained that Latif Ssebagala has been in politics for almost thirty years, and after being in parliament for four terms, he shouldn't be seeking any more political positions.

He says Ssebagala, just like his brothers, should focus on personal businesses and leave politics to other people who haven't been in service before.

"You should quit and focus on personal businesses. You have been in parliament for twenty years, what else are you seeking? Go and run your businesses; your brothers are thriving well there, go and focus on that. Leave politics for other people," he explained.

Latif Ssebagala represented the Kawempe North constituency for twenty years in parliament.

He is currently not serving in any position after losing the 2021 parliamentary elections to Muhammad Segirinya.
