The opposition Democratic Party says they will not allow their members, who stood as independents in the February polls slip away from their fingers.
Addressing a presser in Kampala on Tuesday, Hon. Fred Mukasa Mbidde, the party vice president said they will involve the prodigal members in a dialogue and lure them back home.
“The office of the president is particularly with a task to reach out to all members of the Democratic Party that stood as independents with a view to reconcile and bring them back to the party,” Mbidde said.
The VP added that they need to involve these members on how to scoop key policy positions; “majorly, to agree on policy positions especially that should be taken at the level of parliament or at local government level.”
