General Edward Kale Kayihura is expected to make a public appearance for the first time and hand over office after receiving his sacking letter from President Yoweri Museveni in a mini reshuffle.

General Kayihura was fired along with Lt. Gen. Henry Tumukunde and replace with John Martins Okoth Ochola and Gen. Elly Tumwine as police chief and minister of security respectively.

National police spokesman Emilian Kayima confirmed the development last night in a news tip he sent to Galaxy FM.

Kayima said Gen. Kayihura will appear at the police headquarters to conduct the hand over ceremony.

The former police chief served the forces for 13 years.

Minister of Internal Affairs Gen. Jejje Odong is expected to oversee the hand over ceremony.
