Hajji Abdul Naduli is up in arms with Kampala Minister Beti Kamya over the ongoing debate on expanding Kampala’s borders.
The proposed changes in the KCCA Act 2010 Amendment Bill are part of plans to expand Kampala’s borders to Wakiso, Mukono and Wakiso suburbs.
Minister Without Portfolio Hajji Abdul Naduli told scribes in Kampala that Kamya wants to grab Buganda Land.
Naduli also claims the Kampala Minister’s move is unlawful and shouldn’t be entertained.
Naduli appeared on NBS Tv Wednesday morning and below are his submissions on the Kampala expansion debate.
Nadduli: I called a press conference to advise not only Hon. Kamya but the enactors of this project, the things they are initiating are constitutional.
Nadduli: Just recently, Kenyans were arguing for ‘Bujingo’ but when we went to Entebbe where the maps were made, they realized it belonged to Uganda, wasn’t that an extension of boundaries? Everything remains the same but the authority changes.
Nadduli: You’re talking about unifying, unifying who and who? When you’re unifying, it means there are some simple independent states you are bringing together.
Nadduli: Being in parliament doesn’t mean which ever project the government brings we absolve it, no. This project is going to drain us. The status of being a minister for Kampala doesn’t cross over any other status, why cross over to other districts then?
