Inside sources say an emergency meeting was held at the beginning of this week between the head of state H.E Yoweri Kaguta Museveni and top security personnels in the country.
It was during this classified meeting that a unanimous decision was taken to have the former IGP arrested.
Soon after the meeting was resolved, Kayihura was summoned to report at the army headquarters in Mbuya and a helicopter was immediately sent to pick him up in a hotel in Lyantonde.
Unfortunately or fortunately the decorated General had already embarked on a journey to Mbarara and the helicopter had to return back to the headquarters empty handed
The Helicopter was again sent back yesterday to pick him up
