The president of Uganda H.E Yoweri Kaguta Museveni yesterday commissioned four new state of the art Marine Boats at the Alice Pier Military Base In Entebbe.
The boats which were procured by the Ugandan peoples Defence Forces in partnership with Impala Services from South Africa had the president talk about the importance of protecting the waters which cover about 20% of Uganda’s land scape
While commissioning the boats, the president commended the Marine Forces for the great job done over the years but also assured them how their capacity to protect the lakes will progressively increase.’’ I commend the Marines Force for doing their work. Progressively, our capacity will increase. I am glad that there are younger recruits undergoing training. We shall build the dry dock and swimming pool for the marines’’ Sevo said
