Democratic Party president ,Norbert Mao has  advised Singer ,Moses Ssali ; commonly known as Bebe Cool,  to be humble while supporting President Yoweri Museveni since he may be discarded like all other past diehards.

Mao has also urged Bebe Cool , who has found himself  entangled in a war of words with supporters of Kyadondo East MP Robert Kyagulanyi aka Bobi Wine, to learn to be accommodative and stop his music from being drowned  in fights as this can will entirely kill  his career.

The duo was appearing on NBS TV’s political talk show the Frontline on Thursday evening alongside Opposition Chief Whip Ibrahim Semujju Nganda, Uganda Media Centre Executive Director Ofwono Opondo and FDC vice president eastern Salamu Musumba.

Mao said Bebe Cool should know that Uganda’s politics does not start and end with president Museveni, challenging him to ponder on what he would do if Museveni was no longer President.

“You need to be advised on how to represent your situation better. The way you’re speaking leaves us with an impression that you’re caught in the cobweb of Museveni’s patronage. What we’re saying is there’s nothing wrong with you benefiting from the patronage. Careless and reckless comments have left Bebe Cool in this situation. A case, for example, the comments Bebe Cool made about Bobi Wine’s shoes was insensitive in my view. I’ve listened to your music, I once came to your show when I was very young.”

“We don’t want to remember that a musician was upset that another musician didn’t join them to promote the president. Everybody should be equal, being a musician is a passion. I don’t think you should be too consumed with these fights. Let time sort out these things.”

Bebe Cool then responded: “And don’t judge me and my president.”

“But he’s not only your president and one day he’ll discard you like he has done to many before but at least Kyagulanyi also has an oath,” Mao blatantly hit back.
