President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni has officially handed over the leadership of the East African Community (EAC) to H.E Paul Kagame of Rwanda. Museveni,who is back in the country from attending the 20th Ordinary Summit of the East African Community Heads of State in Arusha, Tanzania has broken the news on official Facebook page.
”Back home after attending the 20th Ordinary Summit of the East African Community Heads of State in Arusha, Tanzania. At the summit, I handed over the chairperson seat to His Excellency Paul Kagame of Rwanda” The fountain of Honors statement reads.
Museveni took over the prestigious seat from Tanzania’s strong states man John Mpombe Magufuli in May 2017.
