Mubarak Munyagwa appeared reluctant shaking hands with outgoing COSASE chief Abdu Katunta when he was receiving the office from him on Monday at Parliament.
MP Katuntu handed over as the Chairperson of the Committee on Commissions, Statutory Authorities and State Enterprises to Hon Mubarak Munyagwa Monday at Parliament.
Munyagwa’s facial expression and the hand movement, spoke volumes as he received instruments of the office from the Bugweri County legislator. Katuntu’s term was extended to allow him to finish the probe in the closure of several commercial banks by Bank of Uganda, a thing that did not go down well with Munyagwa.
The Kawempe North MP did not look Katuntu in the eye while embracing one another and exchanging instruments.
Katuntu in his message to Munyagwa, asked him to deal with backlog and focus on institutions with huge budgets to get value for money.
